Review on Latching Power Splitter Adapter by StarTech Com: Efficiently Distribute and Connect Multiple Devices by Mario Anderson

I added a third drive to my Dell desktop and needed a different SATA power connector, so I decided to try this splitter. But when I plugged it in, the PSU on the machine started whistling and the machine wouldn't boot. Tried both connections, the result is the same - does not work. So I bought another adapter that worked. I assume it had a short in the connector. This sometimes seems to happen with SATA power connectors. Anyway, I was able to get my money back.
