Review on Ingersoll 9512 Hammer Change Retainer by Jonathan Fernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great suggestion and I saved my hammer

I have had an infrared air hammer for many years and it works great. Then recently the latch (coil spring) broke off. I used the tool to pierce a concrete block wall. If I break through the wall without the lock, the chisel will shoot across the room from the other side. (a bit awkward) I've searched the internet and local providers to no avail. IR said it was "no longer available" and reviews from other sites said their mounts didn't fit my tool (mod #121). Then I found this one. I've used this type on another hammer before and it was a big improvement over the spring type. Manufactured by Ingersoll Rand, very durable - good quality and perfect fit. I'm glad I didn't have to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I now have the best tool I ever made before the latch broke.
