I currently have 4 cats ranging in size from 11 to 17-18 pounds. It's very difficult for our big boy to get into the big solid idea carriers that I use; it requires 2 people. I wanted one that I could pull him into and decided I needed one with wide side and top openings. It matches this account. So - everything is fine. BUT. I had a hard time fitting the hard floor into the carrier. And I was surprised that the bottom cover is not removable. Basically though I think it's UNEXCEPTIONAL to send this out with no instructions on what to do with the 2 hard plastic support rods that are included. For example, where do they fit and how? Luckily, a very good buyer included this information in their reviews, along with lots of pictures and suggestions on how to include them. I doubt I would have even seen the jobs without their information - I searched for this before going back to browse the Q&A and reviews for more information. That's why - even though it's a good carrier - I only give it 3 stars. And jab the manufacturer/distributor with a sharp stick for not providing instructions or at least a basic diagram. :(
