They have a much better power reserve than the previous rechargeable set. The two biggest benefits for me are LED lights on the remote and both collars, and improved range. Also, dogs are much more responsive to the beep this one makes than the old one I had. Having a light is great so you can see dogs in the yard at night without having to honk them to find or use a flashlight. The LED on the collar is very bright. An added bonus, it holds a charge for days and turns on and off automatically so I don't have to turn them off when they arrive, just take the collars off and put them on the table . Then when it's time to head back outside, just slip them on and the movement will bring them to their senses.
