later If you press the button when you take it out of the box you will get a low and red reading as you are checking the air and not the forehead. However, if you turn it towards your forehead and press the button down, I get about 91.1 or 90.9F. The instructions also state that if it is kept in a separate room, it must be in the room the person is in for 30 minutes. For real? If you are in a hurry to take your temperature, do you have to wait 30 minutes before you can use it? That's ridiculous. And I have no idea how everyone gets excited about accuracy when this thing can't even take forehead temp.
