This is a great little air pump for beginners. The best thing about this kit is that it comes with all the airstones, hoses, check valves and airflow controls for two 10 gallon tanks or maybe a 15-25 gallon tank (with multiple airstones). In terms of noise, this air pump is average compared to my Fluval and Tetra air pumps. I currently have a 10 gallon sponge filter and air stone in the grow box I raise brood in and have been very happy with its performance. creases and folds easily on its own, so I used a snorkel I already had on hand (even without an air snorkel if the product is still expensive). Also, the capacity of this pump is good for 25 gallons or less, and disconnecting 4 air stones from this pump will leave you frustrated with the airflow. There is a control knob on the pump itself to control the airflow, but it is complex and not linearly adjustable. The first two turns do nothing, and the last half turn completely cuts off all air. I just leave it on full flow and use the controls to control the airflow to each tank. Can't comment on durability as I've only had it for two months, but so far I haven't had any issues.
