Review on πŸ’ˆ Oster Model 10 Classic Barber Salon Pro Hair Grooming Clipper with Size 000 and 1 Blades: Ultimate Professional Performance by Abdul Jorge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Rating of a professional hairdresser for 8 years.

This hair clipper had been in use for 2 weeks at the time of this review. I'll say right away that this clipper is significantly smaller and lighter than the classic 76 model. It also gets a bit warm, but I suspect that's due to the smaller frame size. I have it active for at least 15-20 minutes for each haircut, all day, every day. When the performance is consistent it's amazing and the blades are perfect. In all respects this is a scaled down 76 based on the old 10 to 76 day model Yes it is interchangeable with all 76 blades and came with an additional 1 blade. Also, I do not recommend this clipper and any other similar 76 clippers for beginners. The blades are very precise and do not forgive mistakes. In the hands of a pro, however, they are divine. However, this particular hair clipper is now made in China and sadly shows the craftsmanship. The plastic lines are rougher and sharper, and the case is no longer one-piece but bolt-on, allowing the company to at least claim it's "made" in the USA. But what is most disturbing is that when you press the clippers, there is a significant fluctuation in power. This happens especially in the top of the case, but it can also happen if you just apply enough force to the blade itself. It feels like the motor or wiring is in contact with the case, slowing down and weakening overall performance. For the price, it's better to get the classic 76 and avoid these problems. I may have been lucky but given that it was brand new with everything advertised and sealed this is questionable and instead a major design flaw. Will be updated if necessary.
