EDIT: looks like I have a faulty unit. Customer service contacted me and sent me a new one free of charge. This works well and has been consistently quiet so far! Customer service is great when you received a broken air pump. It's so cute and small and it's great when it works well, but most of the time it doesn't. It makes an incredibly loud and uncomfortable rattling noise 80% of the time. I woke up in the middle of the night when the noise suddenly went from normal air pump noises to an incredibly loud hum. I've attached a video of the noise - you can see when I set it up it's ok. Haven't figured out how to fix it but have tried taping it up, wrapping it in a towel etc. Shame as it's only a few weeks old.
