Review on ☕ Silver Stainless Steel Whistling Tea Kettle - Mr. Coffee 74265.02 Harpwell 2 Quart by Brian Henley

Revainrating 1 out of 5

UPDATE: 2 months. [Attractive but disappointing in materials and features]

UPDATE two months later: I put the kettle on and got a call. He didn't whistle. It boiled dry - what happened to other kettles before didn't hurt. THIS KETTLE: The plastic top of the lid is fused to the body and cannot be removed. The bottom metal part of the lid must have fallen into the kettle (judging by the rumble of a large metal object inside). Now no one needs it, the kettle went in the trash. At $19.49, that's $9.75 a month for life. First review: I love the look of this teapot. For the money you could do a lot worse in terms of design. But: It is a light, thin metal. The whistle is weak - not enough to let me know it's ready when I'm in another room (that's the whole point of a kettle). The handle will get hot - you will need a kitchen towel or a greenhouse. The lid is difficult to remove but it fell off twice (in two weeks) during pouring and steamed my hand! I doubt it will last as long as the one it replaced lasted 30 years. But for a half-way product that's (hopefully) good for a few years of use, that's quite normal.

Pros
