Flawless Best Cookware

SPOUT IS EASY TO OPEN AND CLOSE. THE HANDLE REMAINS SATISFACTORY COOL UNTIL THE KETTLE IS FULLY STANDING TO THE TOP, WHICH CAN OVERHEAT THE LID AND MAY MAKE THE HANDLE TOO HOT. IT MAY ALSO MAKE THE KETTLE TOO HEAVY TO USE SAFELY. The whistle is loud enough to hear in the next room. VERY GOOD. I HAD AN OLD KETTLE FOR AT LEAST THIRTY YEARS AND IS A VERY GOOD REPLACEMENT.

The handle gets too hot to hold

Plastic handle gets too hot to touch. I made sure the filler cap was tightly closed to prevent steam from escaping there. I had to use a kitchen towel to pick it up. I didn't even leave it on the stove for too long. I wanted to take it off the stove when the first whistle blew, but it was already too hot. It was also a bit hot. The handle was so hot that if I grabbed it and held it long enough to pour water for tea there was a risk of it falling off. It was that hot. I had to return it.

Rusted in less than 10 uses.

This kettle was used less than 10 times before it rusted inside. I only use it to make myself a cup of tea. I pour in some water, boil it, pour in what I need and pour out the rest. Because the kettle is still hot when you empty it, it dries out very quickly when I put it back on the stove. I think these are ideal conditions for rust protection. But just the other day I noticed a rust spot inside. I cannot recommend this product for purchase. I give it 2 stars because the trigger to open the…

What else could you ask?

I've been looking for a working kettle that doesn't rust for a long time. I finally decided on this product based on the positive reviews and the price. I've been using it daily for a while now and I'm very happy so far. I love its shape and its shiny look on my electric stove; Love the sturdy handle and how I can open and close the spout while holding it; I like the sound of the whistle reminding me the drink is ready to pour. After each use I empty it, dry it and leave the spout open. I…

UPDATE two months later: I put the kettle on and got a call. He didn't whistle. It boiled dry - what happened to other kettles before didn't hurt. THIS KETTLE: The plastic top of the lid is fused to the body and cannot be removed. The bottom metal part of the lid must have fallen into the kettle (judging by the rumble of a large metal object inside). Now no one needs it, the kettle went in the trash. At $19.49, that's $9.75 a month for life. First review: I love the look of this teapot. For the

Doesn't whistle, cheap plastic lid

The teapot is visually appealing. I like that the whistle pops up and stays but doesn't whistle. There is a very faint "pffff" sound that is barely audible in the same room and definitely not heard from the next room, defeating the purpose of the "whistling" kettle. I will not pay for shipping back to Revain but I will be taking my complaint about the whistle to Gibson as I bought a whistle kettle and it definitely does NOT whistle. I don't particularly like the plastic lid screwed onto a piece

A very good kettle. Good design! Good price!

I hesitated to order this kettle because of the price. But the positives outweigh the negatives. Positive - Good design. The teapot is seamless so the bottom seam won't come loose or rust! The bottom of the kettle is slightly wider, so you can use a larger flame or burner to heat the water faster. The handle is made of a kind of high-density plastic, so there is no need for pot holders after heating the water. It also features one-handed operation - a lever under the handle opens the spout and…

I love this kettle for dummies

WOW! Little did I know there was so much to say about teapots, but I got "eyes/ears" researching this simple product. First, I didn't want to pay $40 for a kettle to boil water. Also, I'm not really a coffee drinker who needs water boiled in a glass at a certain temperature. All of this prompted me to purchase a 2 liter Mr. Coffee Harpwell whistling kettle from Maslow's Berg. I paid full price for this product and I usually wait at least a month before I can comment. So if anything changes in…
