The old battery has been in the remote control for more than twenty years. If we lose power in the house and it turns back on, it will set off an alarm on the stored vehicle. The alarm sounds for about a minute, then resets and turns off. This time the alarm didn't go off and had to be reset with the remote. I never changed the battery and didn't think it would work. I aimed at the remote and pushed the button, a very dim light, a faint noise from the car and the alarm went silent. Pulled the battery out of the remote control, checked - dead. I don't think this battery will last that long. I guess believe it or not.
