Received this sweeper in mid-May and am very pleased with the suction performance of our new carpet (bottom pile). However, I have found that it does not suck well on my mats. I've tried reducing the suction when it's not moving well, but that didn't help. Well, I just noticed that the red light comes on almost every time I come across higher pile rugs (not crazy, but typical plush rug). I would say he did it most of the time and I just didn't notice. I called support and they did a video call and found that I had a defective cleaning head but of course it's out of warranty and they want me to pay $39.95 for a new one. This is ridiculous for an article that is only a few months old. I'm checking the return policy now because I won't be struggling with this type of issue all the time. Maybe this is my first and last Shark purchase which stinks as they highly recommend
