This is the first heavy duty vacuum I own, it's light enough (but has amazing power) that I can vacuum without hurting my shoulder and back. I love the bright LED lights on the front that let me see what I'm sucking and if he's picking it up. I have a dog that sheds a lot and she just rips all the hair out of the carpet!

A month ago I returned a brand new Shark. I wanted to try again. It's the same problem. The vacuum only vacuums the surface of the carpet and doesn't vacuum deep into the carpet at all as far as I can tell. I am so disappointed because the first Shark I bought 3 years ago is wonderful - Navigator DLX! Wanted to buy another one for work.
