I bought this because I work in a cat rescue and have multiple herniated discs in my back making it very difficult to bend down to pick up boxes. I remembered another volunteer who had something similar so I decided to give it a try. Firstly, it is really very easy to assemble. The instructions are pretty sparse, but it's still pretty easy to figure out what goes where. I'm not sure why they recommended a hex wrench, the screws they call hex screws actually take a Phillips head screwdriver and I haven't found a use for the socket wrench recommended as the screws you would use for this are very good would tighten by hand. Overall, assembly took about 15 minutes with a screwdriver. Second, it rolls very well on vinyl floors, I don't know about carpets. without problems.
