My 8 year old son started school almost this year and he needed a good quality notebook for his drawing class. This pillow is perfect for his needs. The paper is thick enough to work well on all media used. He even got lucky using it with watercolor paints! It's also a good size - big enough to be larger than the regular computer paper he used to use, but not so big that it doesn't fit in his rather small workspace. I also find the perforation of this product commendable. to name. That's enough for him to rip out the pages himself without tearing them, which is huge. I love anything that gives him a little more independence. We've only had this notebook for about a week and my son has already used it on two art projects - one with crayons and the other with watercolors. He did very well on both.
