I have a 9 year old son with special needs. He has a rare disorder that has many different diagnosis' along with the primary diagnosis. One of his secondary diagnosis is Sensory Processing Disorder. One thing that has brought him much comfort, is his receiving blanket that we got from the hospital the day he was born. He has slept with it every night since birth and cuddles with it when he isn't feeling well. Well, after 9 years of snuggling and washing/bleaching, the blanket had gotten so thin that it was starting to tear and had tore down to a tiny little square when I realized that we were going to have to replace it VERY soon! We tried ordering another receiving blanket that was just like it.well, due to the thickness and texture of the NEW blanket, he wanted NOTHING to do with it. I researched for days on amazon, reading reviews and descriptions when I finally ran across this item. I ordered it, it came within a day or two and as soon as I opened it, I knew it was perfect! So soft! So thin! My son grabbed one from me and he hasn't let go of it since LOL. Because it is a swaddle blanket, it is a tad bit bigger than we needed, BUT it still serves it's purpose. I think I may buy a few more to store away for later use :)
