Review on πŸ’¨ Elchim 8th Sense Hair Dryer: 36 Heat & Speed Settings, Sunset Copper - Professional Blow Dryer by Abby Libbett

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Reduced hair drying time by more than half!

So I've had pretty cheap hair dryers all my life. I have very thick, long, wavy hair that: 1. takes too long to blow dry and2. Blow drying definitely doesn't look good as it gets quite frizzy as I don't encounter the problem of using straightening brushes as I will be ironing anyway. Therefore, I have never used an expensive iron. Dryer. Right out of the box, this felt heavier and "sturdier" than others I've tried. It also *looks* pretty expensive. Mine had scuffs and I'm not sure why as it should be new. But packaging and accessories looked okay. The control buttons on it don't look like anything I've seen or used before. And the instructions don't really help either. Does it just seem like the buttons increase heat and speed? But there's no brochure explaining the many settings or what would be best and least harmful for your hair type. Which is honestly a little frustrating because one of the things it advertises is all the different settings. HOWEVER, despite all these negative things, when I tried it on my towel dried hair, it dried my hair VERY quickly. Everything seems to be dry. Probably around 10 minutes or less when it normally takes my cheap hair dryer at least 25 minutes to partially dry, so for that reason alone I think it deserves 4 stars. It can be very, very hot and seems very likely to burn the scalp. So definitely be careful with higher settings! I've also read that some of these products have shelf life issues, so I'll update if I run into any issues in a few months! Hope this review is helpful! :)
