Good clamps are good for the gearbox and transmission
A year ago my minivan lost a larger clamp on the CV boot. The local auto parts stores have really bad replacement clamps, I tried using them but lost them after a few days. Then I bought a set of 20 pieces. at Revain they were of better quality, but still too strong, and after a while they were lost. They appear to be of much better quality and thicker metal. Just install one today, see if they last. At least I could clamp them with pliers without breaking them. The ones from the 20hp kit were easy to brake.
