Review on Terminal Connector Insulating Terminals Electrical by Andrew Dickens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very Good Quality Connector

These cable lugs are very good. You don't need a special crimping tool to use them and honestly due to their small size I wouldn't recommend using any of the typical crimping tools you would use on someone with hard plastic "insulators" as they usually only do the Wire break into the hole hoping that will be enough. On these it would be better if you just use a pair of small needle nose pliers to bend one side and then the other, obviously applying extra pressure on the last side to ensure the wire is held well in place. by plug. The soft transparent silicone insulators that come with these terminals are of very good quality (unlike the plastic counterparts mentioned above). If you forget to attach the insulator before attaching the terminal, don't worry as the silicone is flexible enough for you to attach later. Also, unlike the plastic insulators, the included insulators insulate the entire terminal as they are much longer than most other types of terminals. 1/8" spade lugs are not very common and lag behind the more common 1/4" spade lugs, so for most people 100 spade lugs should be enough for most hobbyists for a large number of projects. However, this size and style is definitely good to have on hand as you should never risk damage or injury trying to bend a 1/4" fitting to fit a 1/8" spade.
