Spectacular water trick

After reading some negative reviews I was skeptical but there were far more positives than negatives so I gave it a go. Delivered quickly which is always a plus. My wife set it up when I got home which is great because she's not a mechanic or techie so yeah it's an easy setup. Due to so many reviews mentioning water pollution, I put paper towels under the car to make cleaning easier. I filled it with water, put the jug in as per the instructions and pressed the power button (which is actually the reset button because it's just a power button). After 4 hours I had a small jug of water. After making a few gallons I stopped putting in paper towels because there was no mess because I followed the directions and it worked properly. I removed the lid and was horrified at what was left of our water! Black dirt and a heavy layer of white crust. I washed it out, which was pretty easy while it's not hot yet. I refilled it and immediately started a new batch. I've been making water all the time since I got it except when I or my wife aren't home when it stops. We use it to water plants, my CPAP machine, Keurig, humidifiers and even some beverages. I cleaned it with dish soap, then rubbed down with soap and water to make sure it was clean and rinsed thoroughly, but only did this a couple of times. We've made about 70 gallons of water so far, which means we haven't spent more than $100 on distilled water. Now the device has paid for itself and in general we are very happy with it. The only thing I would warn you about is that if you leave it plugged in you can easily hit the power button, which means you could get electrocuted with wet hands if you're not careful. I unplug the whole device, take it apart, clean it, fill it, wipe off excess water droplets, dry my hands, then plug it in and start it again. TO UPDATE. Today I have been using my product for almost 10 months. Leaked pot. The description says 1 year warranty, Revain does this so you should contact Revain for troubleshooting. Revain's policy is that you have 90 days. So how can we get warranty work? This looks like an obviously fraudulent 1-year warranty claim.

Pros
  • Wide application
Cons
  • Not bad but...
