My future husband bought this ring for me as an engagement ring. Opal is my favorite stone! I have never understood why anyone in their right mind would choose an ordinary diamond over something as beautiful and unique as an opal. I guess most people these days think they have to spend thousands of dollars on some sort of "gold diamond ring" to impress their wife, which is really embarrassing. Especially when there are so many other truly amazing, beautiful and attractive stones to choose from! I guess that's just the public way of doing things, not my style. I don't need to be fooled by the price of the ring, I want to feel the real care that went into choosing the perfect ring for me! I always told him opal was my favorite and luckily he listened to me! He really picked the perfect ring! He knows exactly what I like! I am so proud of him for his excellent choice! He knows his wife, that's for sure! Stop gushing about how proud I am of my husband. The ring itself is very beautiful. The stone is perfectly cut and rounded to reveal a variety of colors. It is very smooth to the touch and polished just like an opal should be! Doesn't shine too much when the light hits him, so he wants to take the colors from within. (This is how opal should be cut and polished, it's too shiny and spoils the effect!) The stone itself is crystal clear, bright and beautiful! The colors inside the stone are unique pastels ranging from a base color of crystal white to pink, blue, green, yellow, orange and purple! It's like a pastel fire in a stone. Every time the light shines on it, it just glows more and more! I have never seen such a perfect opal! The colors are evenly distributed throughout the stone which is rare and amazing as each stone is completely different, like a fingerprint! I am very pleased with Opal itself! As for the ring itself, its metal design is incredibly beautiful and very well made! Antique style, my favorite! I know I can wear it for years and it will stand the test! I've been using it for 3 days now and it still shimmers and shines like I just took it out of the box! Stainless steel never rusts or tarnishes like gold and silver, which I think is a definite plus! And in my personal opinion, stainless steel is no less beautiful! I have full confidence that my beautiful ring will stand the test of time! I am truly blessed with the perfect man who knows my style inside and out.
