The main advantage, in my opinion, is the quality of the bokeh. Even in challenging situations like a portrait against sun-drenched trees, the background transitions are smooth and not annoying. The case is metal and very reliable with a small weight. For such aperture, the size of the lens is also pleasantly surprising. Sharpness, suppression of aberrations and stray flare at altitude. Aperture control on the lens is convenient and logical, but the ring is weakly fixed in positions, and it is easy to move it by accident. Autofocus is always accurate, but not very fast, which, in fact, is to be expected at such a high aperture. The motor is not silent, however, it is not too loud to call it. You will have to get used to manual focus through the electric drive (focus by wire), but after a while you begin to see some advantages in the form of a dependence of the focus ring stroke on its rotation speed. In practice, this means the lens allows both slow focusing with high accuracy and refocusing over a long distance with a small ring travel. However, there is a slight delay in response. In general, all the shortcomings of the lens are not critical. I think the price is just right.
