Review on πŸ”˜ Twidec KW11 3Z04 Straight Switch Action by Bryan Fields

Agree that the force required is too high.

Offered as a replacement for the Zippy SM1 and that's why I bought them as they have the correct switch length. It takes exactly three times as much force to activate them. The SM1 in grams has a 5 gram switch. They open at 15 grams. That's a huge difference. In fact, the difference is so great that the length of the longest lever requires a bending force on the metal itself, requiring it to almost touch the body of the switch itself to engage. I had to bend the lever up to fully depress it. In my situation I was replacing an ejection switch on a GoDogGo dog toy and the lever has enough force to help the ball roll off the switch when it bounces off the stop. with the right strength. This was previously not possible with SM1. Of course it depends on the application, but I think a lot of people here are looking for a brand and they think they are the same, like me. Not quite as good. Pretty strong pressure on them, which prohibits the design with the longest lever switch.

Pros
  • Industrial switch
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
