So far so good, no problems. Update - Stable - NO PROBLEM

I built a home/test server (I work in IT) almost 3 years ago using a SUPERMICRO MBD-X10SDV-TLN4F-O board. Short-sightedly I only bought 32 GB 2400 Kensington UDIMM ecc. As a result, I decided to get another 32 gigabytes, but this memory is gone. Now they do 2666. Mixing memory isn't a good idea, but thought I'd give it a try if the specs match. I came across this memory that claims to be Supermicro compatible and matches Kensington on paper. Worst case I'll buy 32 more of these if they don't work consistently on the second channel and Kensington on the first. Firstly I ordered it on Thursday and on Friday I already had it in my hands. Big. Connected with no issues and I got it up and running in no time. The motherboard saw the RAM, then ESXI booted without problems and also sees all the RAM. I was finally able to allocate the right amount of memory to all of my virtual machines and everything booted up with no issues. The next morning I expected it to crash during a nightly backup as that weighs everything down, but no, everything ran like crazy with no errors. Very impressed with this budget RAM so far. It looks well made and if it continues to work well with Kensington RAM I'll be thrilled. And I won't blame it if it doesn't, they don't claim it will work alongside another brand of RAM. In that case I would blame myself. My home server works without any problems. Now I'm choosing a new router, and you can guess what kind of RAM I'm going to put in it.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented
