I really liked the summaries when I first received them. Super comfortable, doesn't need a break. Good for hiking in the woods if it's not too rocky. I gave it 1 star at the time because the sole was falling off the first pair my wife gave me for Christmas in less than a year. Walmart replaced them for free. (Great customer service from Walmart.) A second pair had the exact same issue around the same time. The problem is that the glue holding the sole to the upper dissolves when it gets wet. I don't walk on water, I walk in the morning when there is dew on the grass and my shoes get wet. You'd think New Balance would use a waterproof glue on shoes that advertised as waterproof. No wonder Walmart refused to replace the shoes a second time and I don't blame them. So I did what many other reviewers at Walmart suggested; I used Shoe Goo to glue them together. I am very disappointed that a $100+ pair of shoes has to be glued together in less than a year. The first pair of New Balance hiking shoes I had a few years ago lasted over 10 years but they were made in the USA and must have used higher quality glue.
