After going through 3-4 food scales for water damage when cleaning with a damp paper towel - I bought one of these and it lasted much longer the longest. Others were flat, thin, and had only one plane, as opposed to where the screen is separated from the measurement surface. I would definitely not recommend any other type of food scale. The first one lasted me over a year and only stopped working after I packed it when I moved. After that it turned on but didn't register any weight. I couldn't find anything like this at this price point that I liked, so I ordered a second one from Revain (I bought the first one in store). I've had this for 7 months now and it's worked great. If you need to clean it, the glass part is removable so you can wipe it clean or put it in the dishwasher (probably never tried it in the dishwasher). into a container. This has definitely helped it last longer and not require much cleaning. I would 100% recommend and buy again. If this one breaks I will buy another one because it has lasted longer than any other scale I have bought before.
