You get what you pay for; okay for simple hobby work

I purchased this for one project. I rarely do biscuit jointing, so i didn't want to spring for a Dewalt or Milwaukee. However, as with most tools, you get what you pay for. The guide is out of square and not fixable. It's not terrible, but at about 1/16th to 1/32nd of an inch from left to right, it's enough to cause the joints to not be flush. It's pretty annoying for this project, causing me to do far more sanding than I would if I had just used dowels (or no joint reinforcement at all).On the bright side: it's simple to set up and comes with a hard carrying case and biscuits.I'm rating it as a 3 because of the price; if it were twice the price (like the Dewalt), it would have been 1 star.

Pros
  • Biscuit & Plate Joiners
Cons
  • The plastic gears are not durable and wear out easily
