When I received it today (fast delivery!) my excitement about the installation was coupled with my fear of how often I would likely be overwhelmed and maybe even cry. I based this fear on my experience installing the Critter Nation (which requires a rubber mallet and mine broke too) and my Reptibreeze Chameleon cage. Lots of disappointments and tears at these two cages. This. was. Wonderful! All the included tools and parts have been impeccably crafted and designed for a smooth build process, I can't get enough! This is my first review in years because I am so impressed. The size and shape are perfect for holding my two diamond doves in a one bedroom apartment. I bought this hoping it would be durable (I love airtight and strong cast iron cages) and it definitely gives me peace of mind because it's so sturdy. I haven't decided yet if I should do this. Use the bottom variety left on the shells for cleaning. I use this without a separator because it was the most ideal setup I've found for 2 pigeons that don't need to be separated, but it's great for future use when I need a separator. I will try to use the bottom shelf as storage for the live insect foods I am growing for my reptiles, it doesn't seem to be able to support much weight. I will report verdict on how much weight the bottom shelf can support. She is beautiful in white, but the only disappointment is that the color in Revane's photo appears to be pink or peachy, which is just pure white. Anyway, I'm very happy! I just found peach really unique and cute for my personal style. Thank you to the manufacturers for saving me from tears and disappointment and delivering a very high quality product.
