TOP camera for the price! My cons are just picky : P

Having recently bought and installed ALL the required updates and software I have to admit this is a REALLY good 4K camera. I won't be using 4K, I just wanted it for the 1080p 60fps camera aspect and how easy it is to see the camera angle. This is a very, very nice camera to use and record after making the settings you want. However, I also have some criticism here. (By the way, I'm using Windows 10 Home Edition if you need this info) Pros: - The camera is easy to install and uses a durable USB Type-C to USB 3.0. Cable (which gives it the power and transfer speed to record from a webcam at 4k 30fps or 1080p at 60fps). - You MUST have a USB 3.0 port on your computer to be able to use the 4k capabilities as a lot of people don't seem to understand how it works (and yes it is compatible with USB 2.0 ports but everything is backwards compatible , you just won't be able to use all of its power). - The software is a bit wonky and I'll add that part to the CONS section, but it's easy to use, easy to change in the settings and the low light compensation reduces fps so leave this UNTESTED for a full 60fps . just in case you don't use it. - Plug and play, easy to use, good weight for a premium look. to their website to use the software settings to customize the camera to your liking.) Cons: - Hand Garbo. Sorry, but the holy cow annoys me. I'm sure the armrest will fit most people with thick edged laptops or monitors, but for me personally who have frameless/bezel-less monitors, it's very wobbly and very difficult to attach to flat monitors. For thicker monitors this MIGHT be better but I have thin monitors so it wiggles like crazy when I try to adjust or close the lid clip. There's also a small notch on the lever that rests a bit on the screen if you have a thin and borderless/borderless monitor like mine. Unlike the notched iPhoneX, this isn't a HUGE issue, but it's definitely noticeable and a little annoying. Again, it's not big and doesn't cover much, but it's definitely eye-catching and draws attention from time to time. The software, on the other hand, is simple and easy to use and set up, but looks terribly cheap and overly simplistic. It's just a tiny square box with sliders, and it really is. I'm not complaining, but it just looks like a Windows XP program. - Not worth finding and setting the background crop feature. IF you don't have great studio lighting with a 3 point perspective then of course it will work fantastic for you but you can also use a green screen at this point. You need a lot of space behind your chair and you can't have anything behind you; it must be a regular wall or long room, and your body/clothing must be a different color than the background in order for it to recognize you correctly. Again for me the performance was terrible as I don't have 3 huge lights left, right and behind me to give me a glowing border for the camera to actually see me. (If you don't know what 3-point perspective lighting is, look it up. Here's how movies do their magic trick to make movies look nice and clean.) Summary: Great camera that's easy to connect and use you USB 3.0. to USB Type-C, durable thick cable, 1080p 60fps or 4k 30fps, ready to use, awesome for streaming or recording and awesome for face tracking for Face Rig or if you want to be an animated character in live streams, twitch or similar. Great camera at an affordable price and comes in a cute little box lol. They don't really say how to remove your hand from the camera, but you pull it off, DO NOT rotate it. PLEASE DO NOT unscrew or you will break it. Pull it straight down, that's all. The only thing I don't like about the camera is the simple and ugly looking software, how difficult it was to find and install the background crop feature and also how not good it is and when you thin/ have no borders/edges - Fewer monitors, it can be shaky and a bit distracting. Edit: After just a year, the camera is starting to flicker and fuss. It's a little disappointing that he dies after just a year.
