Having owned a DVR for several years, this is the way to go! Forget about suction cups that fall off and break or double-sided tape that melts in the heat. This rearview mirror mount is lightweight and very easy to set up (model CH368). Please make sure one of the heads fits your DVR before purchasing. I believe the dimensions are 11.5mm x 8mm and 10mm x 8mm in addition to the 6mm screw attachment. I first tried this on a Rexing V1 and while 10x8 was fine it wasn't reliable enough to use. This mount is perfect to mount my camera in my Corolla 09. It's tall enough not to be noticeable, but low enough that I can crouch and have a look to see if the recording light is blinking. The ball joints are very easy to loosen and tighten and you can position the camera as you like. The only thing I want to consider before buying is the size of your mirror bar/bar. If it's very large and bulky (like some SUVs and trucks with backup discs), the inner circle may not be wide enough to fit around the stem, even if you use longer bolts. In my experience, this mount has been the most efficient and reliable way to hang a DVR. It's very affordable, lightweight, easy to install and remove, and won't fall off.
