Use with G1W-CB DVR. Mine came in a pre-assembled plastic bag. There were no instructions included. All I had to do was loosen the knob to switch the ball mount to the correct one for the G1W-CB. Despite the lack of a retaining clip, it fits snugly into the G1W-CB's plastic frame, so I don't see it falling off. I wish the center section was a bit longer, but I was able to adjust it to mount the dash cam to the left of the compass mirror post in my Sonata and hide almost all of it. It sticks out

Not bad, but could be better. The screw holding the clamp closed (the clamp that clamps two balls, not the clamp that attaches to the transom) needed to be a few turns longer. This allows you to install the device without completely dismantling the clamp. Assembling was very difficult. I would also add slotted or Phillips head screws to the clip that attaches the assembly to the rear view mirror. I was looking for a solution to a problem with my DVR that kept falling off my windshield. It looked perfect. The narrow mount was necessary as the mirror on my Cherokee is large and has multiple sensors behind it, leaving little space. The bracket can be easily and securely attached to the mirror. while the quality of the device is good. My problem is that this is not enough to set up the camera properly. Having owned a DVR for several years, this is the way to go! Forget about suction cups that fall off and break or double-sided tape that melts in the heat. This rearview mirror mount is lightweight and very easy to set up (model CH368). Please make sure one of the heads fits your DVR before purchasing. It works well enough so I kept it and have no complaints for the first 24 hours of use. This is an improvement on the suction cup mount. But I'm not blown away by how easy it was to install, nor by my impression of the build quality, nor by the information provided about what it will and won't do.
