I don't usually write these reviews BUT this product was so perfect in the way it was made and how it solved the problem I've encountered for several YEARS - just a complete lack of the ability to hold the DVR to the windshield. I've tried everything I can think of: the useless double pads that come with the kit, the suction cup method, Gorilla double sided tape, carpet double sided tape. My problem is that I park my car at the train station during the day. In the summer, the car turns into a stove. In winter it is a freezer. Extreme temperatures will cause windshield fasteners to loosen. All declined. This device provides a strong mechanical connection using the rearview mirror shaft to connect to the vehicle. Works perfectly.
