If you need something that can be used to wash delicates and/or hand wash I recommend this item. Rather than trying to balance a galvanized washboard in a plastic sink, this is a 2-in-1 item that's ready to go at any time. I washed two blouses in this sink. First I filled a basin with water and let the bodices get wet. After soaking for a day, I drained the dirty water, filled it up with clean water and rinsed it out! A plastic washboard is easier on fingers and joints than a galvanized one. I have nothing against electroplating. They last a long time. However, with my arthritis, I can't keep my pelvis and washboard separate. Hence my decision to purchase this product.
