Review on LEICA Leica TL2 Black Bundle W/Vario-Elmar 18-56Mm (19157) by Steven Emberling

After a delay with T and TL I finally pulled the TL2 trigger. Now the camera can be used in practice and the image quality is really excellent. I like the modern "iPhone" camera. Now the reasons for the missing 2 stars! The TL lens does not have a lens cap lanyard despite the slot in the cap. It's hard to imagine how to get the string, but it took me several months. Second, after 6 months, the beautiful touchscreen starts to lose its anti-reflective coating. The Leica shop advised me to put on a protective film, which I should have gotten from a cell phone repair shop. It is not covered under warranty as it is a matter of "wear and tear". Well, for a $2,000 camera that depends entirely on a touchscreen losing its anti-glare coating, I think a screen protector should be included, or at least recommended by the store at the time of purchase. That's what I call "customer service"!
