First of all these gloves are very comfortable. In a pair of gloves meant to be thick and protective, my hands feel as free and mobile as they do in any other pair of gloves. They definitely protect you from the heat. I even use them when I'm grilling or using a fire pit because they hold the heat well. The extra strap on the sleeve of the glove for fastening is also a nice touch that most gloves of this style don't seem to have. Not sure if the strap for this is also fireproof, but it's a nice feature. I would definitely recommend her.
