Ican FL40 with Sapim flat spokes and Novatec hubs

Ican FL40 with Sapim flat spokes and Novatec hubs Seller was very helpful with wheel questions. So thanks guys for the truth. As the product was in stock, delivery was quick. The box protected the wheels very well. Each wheel came in a protective case. The wheels came with tape, pads and skewers. The included tape is too narrow to use on tubeless models, so it can only be used to cover the spoke holes. Get some Stan or something if tubeless is your goal. The skewers are very light. They look like KCNC, Lixada or Cratic. is that ti May be. Suitable for normal driving. I do not recommend it for more intensive use. The lever can be a bit uncomfortable - and painful - for your fingers. 1420 grams straight out of the box with no straps, flaps or skewers. This is the upper limit of the range given in the description. The wheels are real but the spokes sound like they have different tensions. So check your set in LBS. The connection between the two rim halves is visible in some places around the rim. This is cosmetic but may pose a problem for some. It's doubtful that this wheel will break in half if it hits a big bump the wrong way. As with most carbon rim brakes, failure is more likely to be caused by heat build-up from braking on long descents. Especially when the bike hits a bumpy bump or loose stone on the way. These wheels are designed to meet standards that guard against such a problem. However, if I had to go down a hill, I would slow down and control my speed by alternating the brakes between the front and rear wheels, if only to deal with heat build-up. And I would make sure that I have enough tire pressure for my weight. It seems that the trend of running very low pressure tires on wider rims is a call to ground the carbon fiber rim walls - the part that supports the tire bead - to the pavement. I've seen photos of damaged carbon rims where the damage looked like the rim scratched the pavement or hit a small rock on the road. In any case, it only makes sense to check your wheels before and after each ride when warranted. The wheel graphics are pretty thin. Engraved outline of brand name and FL40 model name. The only wheel graphic that I like better is the new Assault's waterfall design. Continental GP4KS 23mm front inflates to 25mm. Smooth shape transition from tire to rim. Very nice Continental GP4KS 25mm rear cylinder for 28mm. Pumping up to 90psi offers more comfort on long rides. 90 is enough for most of us. There will be no IRC X-Guard 25mm. In fact, I wasn't able to install IRC on these tires. Even with soapy water. 100 miles at FL40, no problem. Looks very nice on my 2015 black and white Orbea Orca. The wheels turn very quickly and evenly - no break-in is required. These Novatec centers are impressive. I seem to have picked up some speed since switching from the Dura-Ace C24 kit. The C24 is lighter but not as aerodynamic. braking is good. It makes a very cool whistling sound. This wheelset is not stiff compared to my other carbon wheelset, a 30mm model with a 30mm wide carbon disc brake. I currently see no need to switch to tubeless. Not for this tire size. And punctures are not really a problem with these Conti. Will I buy them again? I already have the FL50 in mind for my endurance bike.
