Review on DEWALT DCL074 All Purpose Light Tool by Andre Motko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bright and multifunctional

So if like me you have some Dewalt tools, you probably also have some Dewalt batteries. The tools were used intermittently so most of the time the batteries just sat dormant on my shelf. So I think I should get some 20 volt dewalt tools to get the most out of the battery and justify the purchase. So I bought this light right here at Revain. Ever since I've owned it, I've used this blinding light for car repairs, summer night gardening, night fishing, and camping. The only time I had to replace the battery was when I was using it camping. It dwarfed all of my friends' Coleman propane lights in height. There were 5. With a 6Ah battery in medium mode, it worked from dusk to dawn. The battery wasn't completely dead, but I replaced it anyway. I set the battery to 8ah and it lasted until the next morning. The only problem is the weight. Because it is quite heavy, it cannot be placed on a Coleman flashlight stand. However, I solved this problem by using the C-Stand for camera lighting, which I already have. C-pillars are designed for tough use and can carry a lot of weight. In these pictures you can see the Coleman lantern stand and the c stand side by side. In general I am completely satisfied with the purchase. I bought a Dewalt tripod and while it's versatile, the light output lags behind. The illumination spread of this light source is also much greater than that of a tripod light source as it illuminates 360 degrees.
