When the battery is low, the smart reminder will notify you via the app, your home will be protected. I had a little problem with the lock which was obviously my fault. Our door opens from right to left, and then the default lock setting is for doors that open from left to right. So be careful when installing, and the solution to the problem is the button on the back of the tailgate trim panel. Change this to L or R depending on the position of your door.
