Review on Yodo Lightweight 2 Person Camping Backpacking Tent With Carry Bag - Multi-Color Options Available by Philip Breeze

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I bought a tent for my opinion

Okay I read the reviews and knew this was a 50-50 bet on whether or not it would work out. Cost point is very low and they pretty much guarantee every defect.so why not?It is as light weight as suggested and will work well for backpacking, but I had to set it up first.Once in the garage I opened it and set everything out. A basic set up. But the metal tips of the fiberglass poles are shape and you have to pay attention to how you push the tips through the fabric openings. Yes, I ripped one. My fault I know. I read the reviews. Low cost point, light-weight material.my bad.No issues with the poles, no breakage there. But that damned tear.Quick fix with fabric repair kit and I am good. I filed down the metal tips.I left the tent up for four days and weatherproofing the tent fabric. It passed the sprinkler test no problem and no issues with the poles. In short it works the way I expected. But you should know that the opening is weird. The mesh inner down zips all the way side to side, and up to the top, but the outer layer does not. In other words there is a gap at the bottom of the entrance flap. It DOES NOT zip close.Fortunately everyone notices the "Fair Weather" disclaimer on their page. It is definitely fair weather. Fortunately I prepared for that when I went up a desert camping trip.
