I would give this product 5 stars if the clamp provided was a better fit. Just the slightest movement. and I mean almost every move and those things light up. It flickers like lightning. If you have ever seen glowing shoes worn by young children. The same thing. They are very visible. The clip that comes with the kit might work for a Yorkie you want to track down during a potty break, but not an active dog of any size. I replaced the clip with a 1" split key ring (the kind you can't put your keys on or off without breaking a nail). My dogs are 160 and 180 pounds and are constantly fighting and tearing at each other. If these things can stand my dogs. they will hold yours! I've hung lanterns from chains on modified dog collars. Because they are very hairy animals, they can hang low enough to be seen from most angles (about 3 inches below the collar). It also creates more movement, so the light keeps flickering. I will be ordering one for every dog owner in my family this Christmas. Great product! I wish they had more colors than just blue so I can tell my mutts apart at night.
