Our two beagles kept slipping and tripping up and down our wooden stairs and my wife even slipped walking down the stairs in her socks. I saw that black tape was used but didn't want to cover up the beautiful tree. This griptape was the perfect solution! I cut it to length, wiped with isopropyl alcohol and paper towel, and applied with a roller. He sank quickly and rooted well. We did our best to keep air bubbles out and when we finished I was impressed with the transparency of the product and how good it looked. Over the past few weeks, we've begun to notice the three corners of the single-tier band tightening. . Tried cleaning and re-gluing but to no avail. I've deducted a star because we'll have to see how they hold up over the next three months. For the past three months our dogs have been able to move up and down stairs safely and we are all feeling better. Even in socks, these things give you peace of mind that you won't spill water down the stairs. Cleaning is a little tricky but the vacuum and upholstery attachment did a great job of preventing dog hair from building up.
