We bought this ladder for our pier. It's a little narrow, but still usable. I had to drill a hole for the screw on one side as they didn't match. But the worst problem is that the flat base is connected to the stairs. As you can see from the picture, it has sharp corners. I didn't really notice them when installing them, but quickly caught my attention when my grandson slipped on the stairs and cut his knee on a sharp edge, resulting in an emergency room visit and 3 stitches. Do not buy this product!
