Review on JVC Cancelling Wireless Assistant Compatible Headphones by Andy Ucros

Microphone issue

Living in a very noisy building in midtown Manhattan, I'm always interested in finding a pair of headphones with effective noise cancellation. I have a pair of full size Sennheiser headphones. They do the job but after a while they really warm my head, especially now that summer is approaching and I was curious if a collared model like these JVCs would be more comfortable and just as effective. Well, I'd say these JVC collar headphones are comfortable to wear, but their noise cancellation isn't quite on par with Sennheiser headphones. The earphone collar rustles when moved. The microphone is quite loud here, which severely limits the usefulness of the noise-cancellation function. and they do NOT have the mic issues that these JVCs suffer from. I also encountered two other problems with JVC. Distinguish the left earpiece from the right. There's a tiny bump on the left kidney and none on the right, but let's take a break! Sony has made the R and L easy to read on the headphones to make things easier. The second issue is that JVC makes a program called Headphones Manager that you can download onto your phone that I think will give you EQ options and other settings. I downloaded the program to my Android phone and although my headphones are connected correctly (I listen to music through them), the program refuses to recognize them. I had the same problem with another JVC truly wireless headset I tried recently: the program wouldn't recognize these headsets either. On the plus side, despite the mic, these JVC headphones sound good, although I think the highs are a little muted. Finally, I think people looking for a noise-cancelling collar would be a good idea to spend another twenty bucks or so on the Sony WI-C600N, which has better treble, better noise-cancellation, and no mic issues. PROS: * Pretty good sound. * Up to six hours of battery life. on a single charge.* Rainproof.* Good, but not very good at noise cancellation.* Comes with a handy carrying case. CONS:* Microphone problem - loud rustling of the cable. .* The JVC Headphone Manager does not recognize these earphones .
