We drink a lot of wine, so corkscrews wear out or break sooner or later. After our cuisinart's handle broke in half, I thought about buying another one (since we used it for years and got hundreds of bottles of it). Decided to try this as it was a lot cheaper and looked reasonable. The fit and finish is quite nice. All moving parts are made of metal, the operation is smooth. I've opened dozens of bottles with it and it has worked flawlessly. The screw slides smoothly into the plug and the cam mechanism to remove the plug from the screw worked every time. I don't know if it will last as long as our kitchen or the Metrocan we had before; But I have no reason to doubt it, and considering the price, even if it doesn't, I'll still be a satisfied customer.
