If you have a garbage pull-out cabinet, then you've probably experienced what I was--after the first year, it never wanted to full close. This gives just enough grip for it to stay shut. I used screws instead of the adhesive, mostly because this cabinet is used dozens of times a day. Quick to install that way. Happy to have the problem fixed.
