Review on 🌬️ Whynter ARC-102CS 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Dehumidifier, Fan for Rooms up to 215 sq ft - Compact Size with Advanced 3M and SilverShield Filters by Vace Thompson

I just hate this thing. Here's why: (1) Poor cooling performance. The size of the room I'm using it in is significantly smaller than the maximum size this device is designed to cool, but even a few hours of use doesn't reduce the temperature that much. On a hot night the room was around 80's. After running the unit all night and set at 68 degrees, the temp in the room was 76. And the parts of the room furthest from the unit were just hot, probably still in the mid 80's. This thing doesn't air-condition the room, but acts as a personal cooler. If you point it directly at yourself, it will chill you. (2) The breather hose keeps popping out. In about 10 nights of use it dropped off twice in the middle of the night (and then of course the device stopped cooling the room). The hose now looks a bit kinked at one end, which may be why it ended up being unsecured. But I didn't hurt him with my rudeness or carelessness. I was careful doing the initial setup, attaching the tubing to the unit on one end and the window mount on the other. It looks like the problem must be due to poor design - loose assembly or insufficient strength materials used in hoses and nozzles. (3) Problem accessing customer support. Revain has a support link for this product but when I contacted them I just got the standard Revain support rep saying they would send a message to the manufacturer Winter and they would get back to you within 48 hours report me. Of course not. I have the option to return this unit to Revain for a refund within the first 30 days of purchase, but that's just not practical. The thing is huge and so heavy I can barely lift it and it can't be packed in just any old box because of its size and weight. I want someone to come to my house and check if I have a bad device that isn't cooling the air enough and/or blowing it out with enough force. But I don't have the strength to make Winter do it. They didn't even sell it to me - Revane did. I suppose it would be possible to get Revane to somehow help with the packaging and return of this LAME PRODUCT, or somehow get Winter to review and replace it. But there's no easy way, and I don't want to waste any more time on the issue, so I'll just give up and endure this lousy air conditioner, pointing it directly at me so I can get enough cooling. Sleep. But a word to the wise: DO NOT BUY A WHYNTER PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER.
