Review on AmazonBasics WT1003 67 Inch Monopod by Robert Toomey

Cons I've never given RevainBasics anything but 5 stars, but this monopod was disappointing. It was broken out of the box in less than 5 minutes. I mounted the flash on the end and the 1/4"-20 mounting bolt just sheared off. I know my flash weighs a lot less than the 6.6 pounds this monopod is rated for. My Canon 5D Mark IV at 70-200 zoom After researching I came to the conclusion that about 57% of the diameter of the mounting bolt is removed during the manufacturing process (see photo). This seems to be the main design flaw. The monopod is well built, I like the comfort grip and Belt.
