Have you ever found it difficult to hold the lid of a pot while cooking? Or did you have to find a place to put it for fear of condensation or dirt on the countertop or stove? Of course there is! I mean unless you cook. But if you're a chef, you might not know it, but you need it! This is a very convenient place to put the hot lid on, leaving both hands free. The assembly is very easy. It's easy to clean. It could have looked a little more aesthetically pleasing, but hey, it's a brilliant concept so I don't care!
