I use it to clean large areas around the house. I wear a rubber glove under my mitten to keep my hand from getting wet: dip it in a bucket of warm, soapy water and wring out excess water before using the mitten to wipe down furniture, walls, blinds, etc. After use I wash it in the sink with some detergent, rinse it and hang it on a clothesline to dry. I suppose you can throw it in the washing machine too.
