Fits 1999 CR-V Replacement Parts

This part replaces a drive train that is no longer working. Instead of a "mounting screw hole" there was a screw which confused me for a while because I was trying to replace that part without attempting to remove the entire door lock assembly. Here's a quick overview of what you need to do.1. Remove the screws from the armrest, inner door handle, slide the plastic panel forward, remove the mounting bracket from the wire attached to the handle, and then lift and remove. Using a thin screwdriver, disconnect the cable socket from the grip body.2. Remove the speaker, unscrew the screws holding the door panel.3. Pull back the protective plastic cover. The edges are sticky, I just covered them with paper towels to avoid touching them and getting them dirty. Remove the screw on the bottom holding the window regulator guide and slide it off the rubber band. Remember how to do it in.5. Remove the 3 screws that attach the latch mechanism to the door. Below that is the drive. You can move the whole mechanism and get to the screw that holds the drive. Be careful not to round off the screw head or you'll ask for trouble. 6. Examine how the drive fits into the case, look at the new drive and note which side goes where.7. Pull out the old actuator. There is a groove on the bottom of the metal frame for the in-out direction. See where the lever is (between the metal pin).8. Replace the actuator, disconnect the electrical clip and insert a new one.9. Everything comes back in reverse order. Plan to get it done in 1.5 hours, expect to get it all done in about 3 hours.10. Test if everything works. Reward yourself with beer. Enjoy. This was the only part I had to replace on the CR-V.
